Aegir CMS Project has started

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Aegir CMS Project, a new Open Source Content Management System initiative.
Aegir CMS represents a significant step forward in making professional content management accessible to organizations of all sizes. Built on the robust Midgard application server, Aegir CMS brings together the best of enterprise-grade features with user-friendly interfaces.
Project Goals
The Aegir CMS project aims to:
- Provide an intuitive interface for content editors who may not have technical backgrounds
- Support multiple companies on a single installation through virtual database technology
- Enable staging workflows where content can be prepared and reviewed before publication
- Offer multilingual support to serve organizations around the world
- Build on proven technology using the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack
Based on Nadmin Studio
Aegir CMS is derived from the successful Nadmin Studio codebase, developed by Linux Center (HK) Ltd. Nadmin Studio has been used in production environments for managing complex multi-site installations, and this experience forms the foundation of Aegir CMS.
Development Approach
The project follows an open development model, with public releases and community involvement. We are committed to transparency in our development process and welcome feedback from users and contributors.
The first public beta release is expected in the coming weeks, providing an opportunity for early adopters to test the system and provide valuable feedback.
